WALKING WITH DINOSAURS  THE ARENA SHOW

This is a review of the  now touring arena show called "walking with dinosaurs". 

This show is heralded as a "Live Experience" with dinosaurs.  While the shows dinosaur puppets are very, very impressive and are great , the show still is NOT what is advertised.. 

The shows main stars are of course the dinosaurs but the rest of the show is slow plodding, almost to a boring point.

The show is done with a actor playing the part of a paleontologist and he takes the audience on a journey millions of years back in time to the time of the dinosaurs.

The science evidences brought forth are old out of date by several years and shows a lack of a update of  evidences as they are brought forth.

I really loved the dinosaurs they are the only reason this show even comes close to working.

The acting is boring, the stage is boring the special effects used are cheap and very weak. They use only inflateables and  lighting techniques for special effects and they simply give the show a cheap look  and feel.

The information is purely hypothetical and weak just mimicking the evolutionary  religious philosophy with no real substance or real explanations.

The creature effects are great and make the show worth seeing by their standards alone.  But is the show worth the money to see it?  Where we were sitting I noticed a lot of people brought their little kids to the show they were totally bored and ready to go home all through the show.  The show is worth seeing just to see the sheer size and greatness of the dinosaurs.  But  I would not take little kids to go see it because they will get bored with the slow plodding of the show.  Grade school age kids would be better and will have a better time at the show.

I came out of the show with a greater awe of our Heavenly Father's great creation and the power of his creation.  It is simply too bad the show really does not deliver on all cylinders but it was interesting.

show is 96 minutes long with a 20 minute intermission.
